Why Games?

Like many people studying games or already working in the industry, I have loved games from an early age. If you were to ask my family what my dream job was when I was a kid, it was to be a dinosaur caretaker. When I sadly realized that wasn't possible, I always said working with or playing games.

After spending some time working in administration, I recalled my childhood dream and decided to give it a chance. Now, I am one step closer to fulfilling it, which not many people can say.

About

Hello, I'm Elias, a game design student at FutureGames in Stockholm. I'm curious and eager to learn. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and experimenting with food. I play a wide variety of games, from competitive shooters to single-player story games, and I also enjoy board and tabletop games. However, my favorite hobby is exploring the world through travel. My goal is to visit all continents before turning 30, and I just have a few left to go.

This might not say much about me as a designer, but as a level designer, I draw inspiration from my experiences to create immersive and believable worlds. While my main focus is on level design, I approach game design holistically, seeking simple and logical solutions for scripting and blueprints, and creating realistic and reasonable scenes when I work on aesthetics. Everything I contribute to a game has a purpose.
